After seven months of consecutive growth, demand for new commercial vehicles fell in September (-10.0%), with 191,588 units sold overall in Europe.
With the exception of Italy (+8.8%, with 15,373 registrations, about 1.2 thousand more compared to September 2018) and France (+2.5%), all main national markets contracted: UK (-22.0%); Germany (-11.5%); Spain (-4.2%).
All segments posted negative numbers: Heavy Trucks (-13.8%); Trucks (-13.4%); LCV (-9.4%); Buses and Coaches (-6.7%).
From January to September, over 1.9 million vehicles were registered in the EU (1,931,460), +4.6% compared to the same period last year. Germany recorded the highest upturn (+10.9%), followed by France (+6.1%), UK (+5.1%), Italy (+4.9%, with 155,540 units, around 7 thousand more compared to the first nine months of 2018) and Spain (+1.5%).
