European commercial vehicle registrations kept on falling in September (-6.6%), posting the fifteenth consecutive month of decline and totaling 133,873 units all across Europe.
Looking at the four biggest markets, Spain remained stable (+0.1%), while all others contracted: Germany -3.1%; Italy -10.7% (with 14,631 registrations, over 1.7 thousand less than in September 2021); France -11.0%.
Considering the first 9 months of the year, demand for new commercial vehicles in Europe declined by 17.6%, totaling 1,185,032 units. From January to September, all main national markets posted double digit losses: Italy -11.0% (with 140,977 registrations, about 17.5 thousand less than in the first three quarters of 2021); Germany -15.7%; France -20.4%; Spain -23.0%.
